Christ for All Nations held crusades in 11 cities in Zambia at the same time in May (2023) that saw 1,040,720 come to Christ in a 2 week period. Here’s a link to an exclusive interview with Charisma News, Christ for All Nations’ Macoby Donaldson on you tube. The following are quotes from the interview printed in Charisma News:

“We did 11 crusades in a two-week period,” Donaldson said. “And we did it for what normally would cost the same as one crusade because there’s something special.”…”It’s something that when you’re on that field with the masses of people and there’s deliverance and there’s breakthrough and there’s freedom,” Donaldson said. “There’s such an overwhelming presence of joy.”

“You may think you’re unqualified to lead people to Christ or to preach on stage or take testimonies in front of hundreds of thousands,” Donaldson said. “But it still is like the harvest is outgrowing the harvesters…it’s almost like a mentality. It’s more like, the harvest becomes wider and wider.”

The 11 crusades were conducted by new ‘Evangelists’ trained by Christ for the Nations last fall. The results were obviously supernatural and a good example of The Great Harvest currently in action taking the Gospel to every nation. Praise the Lord!

-Revival in North Africa

    (North Africa: Wikipedia)

For hundreds of years very few Muslims came to Christ especially in Northern Africa. But now here is a report of revival going on in those very same difficult lands where Christians are constantly being persecuted.

Tens of thousands of Muslims have been converted to Christ in areas where missionaries are not even allowed and Christians are jailed for sharing their faith. Yet there is a secret revival going on under the most miraculous and difficult circumstances.

From ASSIST News Service (Link NLA):

A Christian revival is touching the northernmost reaches of Africa. In a region once hostile to the gospel, tens of thousands of Muslims are now following Jesus. Muslims across Northern Africa are converting to faith in Jesus Christ in record numbers.

Speaking in a story by George Thomas for CBN News, Regent University graduate and filmmaker Tino Qahosh said, “What God is doing in North Africa, all the way from actually Mauritanian to Libya is unprecedented in the history of missions.”

Qahoush has spent years traveling the region to document the transformation. He said, “I have the privilege of recording testimonies and listening to firsthand stories of men and women, of all ages where they can be sitting in a room and see the appearance and the presence of God appear to them in reality, like a vision, some of them gave me stories of how they carry on a conversation, it’s not just a light that appears.”

He added that he sometimes feels jealous. “How come Jesus is visiting the Muslim world at this time and age and we don’t hear that happening in the traditional Christian community?”

Thomas said his interviews confirm what experts say is a profound move of God in the predominantly Muslim nations of Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia.

-71,000 Christians Attend Prayer Event in Cairo, Egypt

Most of the time ‘bad news’ is coming out of Egypt, for once here’s a sovereign work of God.

The following report comes to us from long-time Christian blogger Andrew Jones (Tall Skinny Kiwi) who was visiting in Egypt at the time and attended the ‘Day of Prayer 11.11.11’:

– 71,000 attended the all-night prayer meeting in Cairo.

– It was the largest Christian event in Egypt for over a thousand years

– It was held at the cave church on Cairo’s largest garbage city, Mokattam. This church is called St Simeon the Tanner Coptic Orthodox Church.

– The gospel was proclaimed during the Prayer event and some people responded to the challenge call to follow Jesus.

– Prayers for healing were made at midnight and some people were healed of physical problems.

– It was an Egyptian event. Buses took people to this event from all over Egypt. …

One Egyptian Evangelical leader told Andrew following this event:

“I saw signs of the beginning of revival that I have never seen before!”

<<Read the entire report and the instructive comments following>>

Also while you are at it, read some of the other stories of Andrew’s visit in Egypt. They are eye opening and heart warming to say the least.

Response: It was remarkable on a number of different levels. Folks being healed and coming to Christ plus a real unity displayed in the Christian community. Also read Andrew’s report of prophetic words coming to the Christian leaders there. Obviously the Holy Spirit is at work awakening all of the Christians in Egypt including the Coptic Church. Amazing.

Note how in the report the Evangelical pastor was seemingly slighted at the prayer event but continued anyway in support and unity with his fellow Coptic Christians. What a great example for all of us.

The Christians in Egypt have been constantly under pressure and attack from the radical Islamists since the storied beginning of the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ which the Western media has cast as a push towards Western-style democracy.

However, it is in reality an Islamist revival with undercurrents that have brought increased intolerance and persecution of the Christian community. We should remember to throw up a few prayers of our own in agreement and support for our Christian brothers and sisters in Egypt. Also let’s pray that real revival will spring up and bring a new kind of ‘Arab Spring’ starting with this event in Cairo.

-“Balokole”: The Effects of an East African Revival Still Going After 80 Years

In J. Lee Grady’s latest column (Link NLA) he writes about an East Africa Revival that started in September 1929. The Christians in that area call it ‘Balokole’ and the effects of the revival are still evident and active after all these years in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi in particular.

Grady shares a quote in the article from Michael Harper who writes of the revival:

“It’s effects have been more lasting than almost any other revival in history, so that today there is hardly a single Protestant leader in East Africa who has not been touched by it in some way.”

Later Grady writes that he is hoping for something similar to come to America. We will explore that in the next post.
