Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. The following is our traditional Thanksgiving message:

Thanksgiving is an uniquely American celebration that began nearly four centuries ago with a deeply religious people, the Pilgrims, giving thanks to God for preserving them though a very hard year and bringing them their first bountiful harvest which they gratefully shared with their indigenous neighbors.

It was our first President George Washington who proclaimed that our first official national day of public thanksgiving should be dedicated by observing and:

“…by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God.“

In recent years the ‘politically correct’/secular crowd has rewritten the history of the First Thanksgiving placing an emphasis upon the hand that the indigenous American Indians played in helping the original Pilgrim community to survive. In the process they have redirected the emphasis on thanks towards neighbors and friends and away from the providence of Almighty God.

While it is always good to be thankful for others who have enriched our own lives and certainly that has a good part to play in the celebration. Nevertheless the major emphasis of Thanksgiving should always be upon giving thanks to God along with our family and friends as it was on that very first occasion.

For my family and I, we will be praising and thanking the Lord God Almighty for the bounties and the providence that he has bestowed upon us this year in the name of his Son Jesus Christ. May Our Heavenly Father bless your family today and continue to bless all of us and this nation during this holiday season and in the year to come.

As we gather together with friends and family for Thanksgiving in America, let us remember the blessings that God has bestowed upon this nation and the ultimate gift to be thankful for–His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that graces our lives.

In the midst of economic trouble we do need to remember that our worst times are better than the best of fortune for 95% of the folks living on this planet. Even in times of personal difficulty we can always be confident in the love and the strength of the Lord–we can always depend on him.

It is a great time to remember how the Lord has truly blessed each one of us and our family.

Thank you Father for your Love for us, thank you Lord Jesus for your strength, and Holy Spirit for your peace. In Jesus Name Amen.

-Move of God in Nicaragua: Tens of Thousands Have Come to Christ

MOVE OF GOD

There is an amazing move of God happening in Nicaragua. Over 650,000 have attended, tens of thousands have accepted Jesus Christ, and the services have also experienced thousands of miracles and healings. From CBN News:

A miraculous story is unfolding of Nicaraguans attending mass evangelism campaigns, and witnessing a mighty move of God in their country. Missionary Britt Hancock of the organization “Mountain Gateway” followed God’s call to help lead these events, along with Evangelist Nathan Morris and Shake the Nations Ministries. 

Britt says tens of thousands have accepted Jesus Christ and thousands have been healed.

“We’ve had people baptized in the Holy Spirit spontaneously. We’ve had people come out of wheelchairs,” Britt shared. “You name it, every class of miracle – lame walking, deaf ears opened, blinded eyes opened.”…He describes it as “a stirring of that whole society”…

Response: I have been looking for the beginning of a great world-wide harvest that will touch whole nations and bring a billion people to Christ. This move of God is touching the entire nation of Nicaragua and it is still going. Praise God.

JESUS: I Am The Way, The truth, and The Life

Read this account of a former Hezbollah member that was heading to the USA to commit acts of terror but encountered Jesus instead and received his forgiveness and love. From CBN:

“One day, as I’m praying, a man appears in front of me – normal size, but his being shines like light. This light is not a normal light. This light carried identity in it. And you knew that he is holy and instantaneously, I knew I am not. …”But I didn’t want to die. So I ran to the corner of the room, literally held my head in my arms, and just cried out, shouting, ‘Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me,'”Javid said. “And I didn’t think he will forgive me because he is just. Still, I felt a touch on my left arm, and he said, ‘I forgive you.’ And I felt the weight just lifted off me. …And I was confused. Still, I say, okay, I don’t understand. Only God can forgive, but you just forgave me….So who are you that forgives me? And he said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life,’ he continued. …”So I said, ‘I don’t understand what is your name?’ And he said, ‘Jesus Christ.’

Response: Read his entire testimony, then pray for Hamas that many of them might have an encounter with Jesus also and be converted.to his love and forgiveness.

“Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven”

In a previous article on The Lord’s Prayer we talked about the Kingdom of God and concluded that the Kingdom represents the ‘rule of God.’ Therefore wherever God rules, there is his Kingdom. So when we pray for his Kingdom to come we are really praying for an extension of his rule and authority, which is exactly what we are praying for also when we say:

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”

His will is done in Heaven. There is no sickness, there is no death, there is plenty of everything, and Father God has a relationship with everyone there. His will reigns in Heaven but not necessarily all the time here on earth though ultimately it does. Bad choices have changed the whole equation here and messed it all up. Becoming Naturally Supernatural

When we pray ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ in essence we are praying for the Kingdom and rule of God to become part of our lives. But then we ignore him so much of the time in our daily lives. Even for those of us who are Charismatics and Pentecostals the supernatural is still the exception rather than the rule particularly in America and the Western world.
